"CHUCUITO" URBAN LANDSCAPES

The painter José Torres Bohl opens at the Naval Museum, November 5, at 12m, a series paintings on Chucuito, this picturesque old fishing district of the neighboring port of Callao.

Under pastel technique on cardboard sheets "tiring", Torres Bohl has designed 14 beautiful landscapes, urban and marine, according to the same author, they do other than highlight the proposal of the same color Chuchito people who a year ago, with of brushes and paint, brightly lit facades of their homes and their neighborhood environment.

Torres Bohl's adventure in Chuchito, began when he arrived at the restaurant "El Colorao" in looking for the best litter the moment and he's filled with breathtaking scenery painting. In this way, "that I would not miss each other" - said, "and thus began the adventure of the cardboard that transcribing chromatic substance, born of the soul of that neighborhood residents settled in Callao.

"When I did the series on Humareda, I tried to rescue the drama of a Peruvian painter. The exhibition opens on Thursday 5 and goes until 30 November. The Naval Museum is located at Jorge Chavez 123, Plaza Grau, Callao. Office hours are Tuesday through Sunday from 9 am to 3pm.
