The Art Gallery of San Marcos Announces Piero Della Francesca exposure e il suo tempo which opens Oct. 19 at 11 am and will last until 03 November.
The exhibit will feature 24 panels, kindly provided by the Italian Institute of Culture in Lima, which reproduce the cycle of frescoes of "La leggenda della vera croce" by Italian Renaissance artist Piero della Francesa (1416 to 1492 ) in the chapel of the Basilica of St Francis in Arezzo - Italy between 1452 and 1466.
As part of this exhibition has been organized 2 activities to be undertaken on the premises of the gallery. cultural Coffee to be held on 20, 22, 27 and October 29 from 4:00 to 5:00 pm where you will read various works of literature of the Renaissance in its original Italian language to coincide the start of this exhibition with Italian Language Week, texts that serve to contextualize the work of Italian artist of his time. And the blog of the artist who invites various artists to perform various plastic exercises inspired by the work of Italian artist on Friday 23 and 30 October.
Art Gallery gratefully acknowledges the valuable collaboration of the Italian Institute of Culture in Lima and Dr. Maria Antonia Tamburello, responsible for language and culture courses in Italy in the FLCH - San Marcos.
